Velyqora · Privacy and terms

Local processing, clearly explained.

Effective 23 August 2026. Velyqora is a guardian-configured application for supervised Android-device use.

Developer

Mohammad Jamal Abdulnaser Maamo

Latakia, Syria

Purpose and administrator responsibility

The administrator chooses the glasses requirement, whole-device daily limit, and up to three allowed periods. Phone calls, emergency use, and authenticated administrator access remain available through the protection flow.

The administrator is responsible for having authority to configure the device, informing supervised users as required by law, and using the app fairly and lawfully.

Local camera and face processing

When verification is requested, Velyqora uses the front camera to detect whether glasses are present and obtain limited face-geometry, eye-movement, face-presence, and camera-obstruction signals. Processing is designed to occur locally on the device.

Velyqora does not intentionally retain camera frames, face images, or face-landmark streams and does not intentionally transmit them to the developer or another party. It is not an identity-recognition, age-estimation, medical, or law-enforcement system. Results can be incorrect.

Accessibility and usage access

With explicit consent, Velyqora uses Android Accessibility only to identify the foreground app or protected settings screen so it can apply whole-device rules, keep the phone route available, and restore the gate after navigation. It is not intended to read messages, passwords, typed text, contacts, or web pages, and it does not click or type for the user.

Usage access is used locally to calculate device-use duration and apply the configured daily limit.

Local information stored

Velyqora stores the administrator credential in protected form, whole-device policy, time windows, calibration measurements, permission state, and a limited local activity log. The visible log is limited to camera obstruction, successful or failed administrator sign-in, apps used with glasses, and attempts to use the device without glasses.

Sharing, sale, accounts, and ads

The current release does not implement a Velyqora cloud account, advertising, sale of data, or intentional sharing of user data. Store disclosures must also account for all included third-party libraries.

Retention, deletion, and permissions

Local records remain until the administrator clears them, clears application storage, or uninstalls Velyqora, subject to Android and device-manufacturer behavior. Android application backup is disabled.

Permissions can be withdrawn in Android settings. Removing a required permission can prevent protection from operating; Velyqora should report that state rather than claim protection is active.

Security and children

Velyqora applies platform security controls, protected local credential storage, restricted components, release signing, and local processing. No software can guarantee perfect security or continuous background operation.

Velyqora is intended to be configured by an authorized adult or administrator, not independently by a child. The administrator must comply with applicable child-privacy and consent laws.

Third-party technology and model-data attribution

Velyqora uses MediaPipe Face Landmarker under Apache License 2.0. Its glasses model was trained from transformed eye-region crops derived from source images recorded by Open Images under CC BY 2.0; annotations are documented under CC BY 4.0. Images were cropped, resized, quality-filtered, reviewed, and augmented. Original source images are not distributed in the app. Open Images and Creative Commons do not endorse Velyqora. Disclaimer and changes

Velyqora is a technical aid and does not replace supervision, professional advice, emergency planning, or operating-system security. Verification and enforcement can fail due to lighting, eyewear, camera hardware, permissions, battery management, defects, or OS changes. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer disclaims implied warranties and indirect or consequential loss; rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.

Material changes will appear in a new policy version and, when required, renewed in-app consent.
